The central theory learning group of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee held a meeting on Monday to study the important speech made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the fourth group study session of the Political Bureau of the 20th Communist Party of China Central Committee on the study and implementation of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The meeting was chaired by Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
Xin Changxing pointed out that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the General Secretary has gained insight into the times, grasped the pulse of the times, and led the trend of the times by conducting profound thinking and making scientific judgments on a series of major theoretical and practical issues related to the development of the Party and the country in the new era, proposed a series of original new concepts, new ideas, and new strategies for governing the country, and established the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
He said that this important thought is Marxism in contemporary China, Marxism in the 21st century, the essence of the times of Chinese culture and Chinese spirit, and the guide to action for the whole Party and people of all ethnic groups to strive for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The deeper the study and practice, the deeper the understanding and feeling of the true meaning of the truth and the power of thought contained therein, as well as the charisma of the General Secretary as the primary founder of this ideology.
Noting that ideals and beliefs are the spiritual pillar and political soul of the CPC, Xin Changxing required leading officials to take the lead and demonstrate in their determination of ideals and beliefs, enhance their political recognition of the Party"s value pursuit and direction of progress, and strengthen their belief in Marxism, socialism with Chinese characteristics, and confidence in the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
